The skirt is placed behind the DPOL® Classic or HD and encircles its net. Its shape allows it to retain hydrocarbons, which are drawn by the current generated by the DPOL® and then confined by the boom.
The skirt must be completed with absorbent booms placed inside the dedicated sleeve. These not only absorb hydrocarbons but also help the boom float.
Thanks to this innovative system, the boom is economical and eco-friendly, as it can be reused after thorough washing with hot water. Absorbents can be easily separated from the boom and disposed of appropriately.
