French manufacturer of anti-pollution robots

Our Vision
Cleaner water, everywhere, all the time
At Ekkopol, we refuse to accept marine pollution as inevitable. Every piece of floating waste intercepted before it reaches the open sea is one step closer to a healthier ocean.
Fighting water pollution takes method, not improvisation — it’s built site by site, port by port, with persistence and precision. That’s why we’re committed to raising awareness, sounding the alarm, and offering real solutions.
Our DPOL® floating waste collectors are autonomous, instantly deployable, and adapted to all aquatic environments.
The time for observation is over. The time for action is now. With Ekkopol, everyone becomes a part of the cleanup.
Our Mission
Develop simple, effective, and accessible solutions to fight pollution in ports and coastal waters.
For the past four years, Ekkopol has been a French manufacturer of anti-pollution robots, developing its flagship brand: DPOL®. Designed to be low-tech, autonomous, and robust, our floating waste and oil collector operates continuously and adapts to all aquatic environments.
Built in our workshop in the Var region, DPOL® reflects our commitment: Think globally, act locally — for cleaner ports and a healthier sea.
Just like every city has street sweepers, it’s time to adopt their aquatic equivalent. Cleaning robots for ports should become the norm along our coastlines.
Because plastic pollution is silent but persistent: invisible, constant, and carrying chemical pollutants that contaminate the entire food chain.

The Values That Drive Us Every Day
Marine Expertise
Our team has logged hundreds of thousands of nautical miles at sea, gaining deep, hands-on knowledge of the marine environment. This extensive experience allows us to design field-ready solutions that truly respond to the realities of aquatic ecosystems.
We work closely with leading research centers such as CEDRE®, and collaborate with renowned scientists to stay at the forefront of the fight against marine pollution.
Efficiency
Marine pollution concentrates in ports and coastal areas before drifting offshore. That’s exactly where we step in.
Our DPOL® robot collects several tons of waste per year, targeting the most affected zones with precision. We take a pragmatic approach: act where the impact is immediate and measurable.
Quality
Our clients are confronted with pollution they did not create, yet they are responsible for managing it. That’s why we offer reliable, cost-effective, and easy-to-deploy solutions that help reduce both the human and financial burden of water depollution.
Responsiveness
Some situations demand a rapid response. We guarantee express shipping worldwide to address environmental emergencies without delay.
Our logistics are designed to be as agile as our robots, ensuring fast deployment wherever they’re needed most.
A Human and Technological Journey for Cleaner Seas
Eric and Geoffroy, two seasoned sailors, founded Ekkopol with a clear goal: to act quickly and effectively in ports using a versatile vessel designed to tackle floating pollution.
Meanwhile, after 9 years of research and 7 prototypes, the DPOL® robot was born at the Francqueville shipyard—a low-tech, autonomous solution that became the heart of our port cleaning operations.
We acquired the DPOL® brand and technical plans, paving the way for industrial production and broader access to our solution for waterway managers.
With Thomas, a professional sailor, joining the team, we expanded our operations along the Mediterranean coastline. Our supply chain grew stronger thanks to trusted local partners, and DPOL® began proving its efficiency in real-world conditions.
Emilien, a naval engineer and world sailor, joined the adventure. His background helped us adapt DPOL® to diverse environments: industrial ports, marinas, lagoons, and closed basins. Ekkopol began its international journey.
We reached a major milestone: 100 DPOL® robots deployed. Countries like Italy, Spain, Greece, and Germany adopted our solution. We launched two new models:
DPOL® HD for demanding environments
DPOL® Max for large surface areas
We also introduced the DPOL® Lifter, a mobile davit for easy deployment in equipped ports.
Over 220 DPOL® units are now active across 18 countries. Our distribution network spans Europe to Australia, and DPOL® is becoming a global benchmark in aquatic depollution.
