The boom is placed at the rear of the DPOL® Classic or HD and encircles its net. Its weighted skirt retains hydrocarbons while the integrated absorbent boom absorbs them.
Its carabiner attachment system is quick and perfectly suited to DPOL® systems.
Hydrocarbons are drawn by the DPOL®’s current and confined by the boom. Ideally, it is used together with absorbents inside the net for faster absorption.
Once the hydrocarbons are removed from the environment, the boom must be disposed of and cannot be reused.
The real-world absorption capacity of the boom alone is 60L (AFNOR standard tested and referenced by CEDRE®).
